About Chad Zuber
A life-changing trip to the Mexican Caribbean in 1999 inspired me to find ways to travel more frequently and share the stories of my adventurous experiences of wandering in exotic places unknown to me. Every trip is filled with exciting stories of suffering and survival set within the natural beauty of God's great creation. I often go into the wild for several days at a time lugging my gear in a backpack and eating mostly of the wild edible plants I find along the way. I share my adventures through photography, video, and writing and I hope that by sharing I can inspire others to truly appreciate the life that has been given to each one of us and to respect each other and this wonderful creation that God has given to us.
Each of my images were taken during moments of great inspiration and each has a part in the story of a great adventure. In these adventures I have experienced hunger, rapid weight loss, dehydration, cuts and scrapes, hundreds of mosquito bites, sleepless nights, several near falls off a cliff, trying to sleep under a plastic tarp in freezing cold temperatures, lost in the woods at night, the effects of eating the fruit of one of the world's most poisonous trees, and scary encounters with strangers.
I speak two foreign languages very well and a little bit of a few others including indigenous languages. My goals are to travel to unique and unheard of places in remote places of the world learning local customs and capturing the essence of these places through photography, video, and writing. And this I will share with the world. Enjoy!
